Over
several months, I borrowed my neighbor Michael Hennerty's blacksmithing
tools, which I carried home in buckets down to the field below.
After making photograms of them, I invited him over. When he saw
the welder's chipping hammer he was amazed, "This is exactly
what this tool looks like 'at white heat' - almost transparent."
