Dating
back 5-10,000 years, the rock art of the Tassili is divided into
four periods. The earliest is referred to as The Period of the Roundheaded
Men. Depicted are animals, lovers, people swimming and dancing.
Some figures 18 feet high look like astronauts while other large
shamanic figures sprout plants from their hands and arms, and horns
from their heads.
